Any computer used by an HMS faculty or staff member to conduct University business qualifies for this service. Files that are stored in Dropbox or Google Drive are not backed up by Code42 those services also offer some protection against data loss but their versioning depth is not quite as extensive. This backup keeps multiple versions of user data files over time. Our primary method of backing up data files on Windows and macOS workstations is the Code42 cloud backup service (formerly known as CrashPlan).
